Butterfly Deerwoman
Rev. Zan Benham aka Butterfly Deerwoman, goddess of many hats, weaves together modalities as individual and unique as the clients she serves. She is an ordained interfaith minister and a spiritual counselor. She is also Certified Hypnotist, Reiki Master, energy worker, shamanic practitioner, motivational teacher and ceremonialist. Rev. Zan has actively participated in healing circles for almost 20 years. She is Clan Mother of the southwest Florida Mockingbird Clan, a rainbow clan which follows "native way spirituality" and she has spent time with some of the shaman/chacaruna's of Peru.
Rev. Zan Butterfly Deerwoman often facilitates new moon and full moon
healing circles, shamanic journeys, soul retrievals, sweat lodges, drum
making workshops and Reiki attunements. She is a pipe bearer, in the
tradition of the late Sun Bear and a water pourer for sweat lodges.
Over the years Rev. Zan has taught many motivational classes and
workshops such as one based on Eckhart Tolle's "Power of Now," or her
own workshops: Play Day on the Shamanic Path, or Let Go and Get Real.
She currently teaches two on-going classes in Sarasota, FL. One is a class
she has taught for 16 years called, "Act Your Way Into Being", which uses
improvisation as a tool to open up self-awareness of one's own innate
creative and expressive abilities. The other class follows the many teachings
of Esther and Jerry Hicks and Abraham, and is appropriately called, Ask and
It Is Given as it uses their book by the same name as text book. This is a
powerful and experiential course of study using the tenets of Law of
Attraction, Deliberate Creation and the Law of Allowing.
Rev. Zan feels her journey today is to serve in the spiritual evolution and re-
awakening of consciousness on the planet into the deep understanding of
our interconnectedness with all things and one another.
